Santa Barbara, Saturday morning. This was a spur-of-the-moment last-minute trip to Boston for a night of sightseeing and to gain enough frequent flyer miles to make a higher status in United's program. |
San Francisco. I would have gone through LAX, to Oakland, to Washington Dulles, to Boston. But thanks to the security breach chaos in LA they rerouted me through SFO on a direct flight to BOS. |

Arriving around 8 PM, I had until the next morning to see what I could see. I rode the T to Cambridge. After eating a great salmon dinner at Legal Seafoods, I saw The Wrens play at Middle East. |

| After the show, I left for a several hour walk around Cambridge and Boston, with lots of great photo opportunities, and chances to practice shooting in low-light. I used a tripod and experimented with all the manual settings on my camera. |
